Witnessing a dramatic scene to end this day, I decided to bed down for the night and see what the next one might bring. LImited Edition of 450.

Allure
One of my favorite places to get away, without leaving Colorado, is the Crystal River valley- several of the scenes hanging on the gallery walls are from this area. While I wasn’t thrilled about the wildfires that were raging everywhere, nor the ensuing the smoky haze that covered the entire continent, I kind of felt bad going out and shooting with any remnants of those natural disasters evident in any shot.
I headed out to a trail I’ve been wanting to check out for years on a nearby mountain pass, which is abundant with beautiful aspen trees. But I was searching for a special shot: I wanted something that draws the viewer’s eyes in to elicit a feeling of being surrounded by beauty, not just in front of it.
Hiking up the steep trail, coughing on the smoke in the air, I kept my eyes peeled for the right scene. I heard an animal turn tail over my right shoulder, and there it was: A grove of young Aspens, completely unspoiled. I bounded over fallen logs and made my way through the brush until I arrived at this scene. The hazy smoke in the air softened the warm light of late Summer and caught the trees with just enough glow to create a mood I’ll forever be able to recall looking at this image. The “Allure” of one of Colorado’s distinct moods is evident in this Limited-Edition of 450 prints.Second Nature
A glacial oasis in New Zealand. While it was certainly a great place for a break while out on the trail, the memories, and the way I feel relaxed yet full of all life has to offer when I look at this picture will live on forever!

Take Your Time
The slogan of Garfield County, Utah is "Take Your Time." Instead of blowing through the place in search of my stated destination, I took a side trip. I found some pleasant landscapes juxtaposed with dramatic storm clouds. This old ranch gate seems to invite the viewer in, to enjoy simpler times.

Crown Jewel Livin'
I pulled off the highway in northwestern Montana here to photograph the Mission range, seen in the background. Then, I noticed the sky, once again, as there really is something unique about it in Big Sky Country. Once I spotted this barn in the distance I knew what type of composition I wanted, and walking across a young field of wheat made the experience even more unforgettable. Limited Edition of 450.
One Wheel Shy
Machinery? No. With enough personality to share, all we need here are a few minor to moderate touch-ups, some elbow grease, several spare parts and a can-do attitude to get this guy working the land again.

Catching the last glimpse of autumn scenery, the frost on the cold side of the wooden fenceposts indicates that winter can't be far off.
